West Oak Lane Jazz & Arts Festival

Description: OARC produces the annual West Oak Lane Jazz & Arts Festival in collaboration with Lifeline Music Coalition, Inc., Everett & Associates, Inc., the Art Noir Customs Framing & Art Gallery, and Festival Foods Management. The 7000-7400 blocks of Ogontz Avenue are transformed into a huge outdoor festival to promote the West Oak Lane community and the commercial corridor to the surrounding communities and region. The Festival is three days of non-stop music on four stages, poetry/spoken word performances, dancers and artists, and a variety of vendors that offer food, crafts and fine art. Sadiki's Restaurant

Dates of Operation: Weekly~Sundays 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Mondays 5:00 p.m. to midnight; Wednesdays & Thursdays 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.; Fridays 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. & 5:00 p.m. to midnight; Saturdays 11:00 a.m. to midnight

Description: OARC sponsors entertainment and provides marketing for Sadiki's weekly evening events. The restaurant is a weekly host to jazz, R&B and DJ spinning of the oldies.  There is a bar, two indoor dining areas and a large enclosed all-season patio.

Location: 7152 Ogontz Avenue, off-street FREE parking, gift certificates and private parties available.  During the football season, OARC presents Monday Night Football hosted by the Arena Bowl Champions, Philadelphia Soul.  Up and coming talent can compete on Wednesday nights in the Rising Star Talent Search.  Preliminary competitions continue each Wednesday until March 25, 2009.  The winner of the final competition will be selected June 3, 2009 and will receive a $2,500 award and the opportunity to perform at the 2009 West Oak Lance Jazz & Arts Festival.
